Our mission is to encourage children to read more – not just by giving them access to more books, but by giving them access to more books they actually want to read. We work with individual schools to select a library of ebooks that reflects the interests of their pupils. And our funding ensures that their pupils can access those ebooks for free, whenever and wherever they are.
We are working with pilot schools around the UK to select bespoke eLibraries that meet the interests of their current pupils. By transforming access to literature children want to read, we hope to encourage their love of reading, allowing them to build both knowledge and imagination.
The founding mission of ELibraries For Schools is to improve access to books through the supply of funded elibrary services to schools and their pupils
We are recruiting pilot schools around the UK and providing them with eLibraries that transform the reading materials their children can access.
We are working to demonstrate the value of eBook libraries by providing them to pilot schools all around the UK. Our ultimate goal is the establishment of a National School EBook Library, stocked with the entire catalogue of children’s books, with fantastic search and discovery, made available to every child through their school, available 24/7, funded by central government
ELFS is a team of volunteers and trustees committed to improving reading opportunities for children across the UK.
Help us revolutionise UK children’s access to books by getting involved in our work – as a pilot school, a volunteer or a financial supporter
